State-of-the-art technology for quality control!

APREX was founded by Romain Baude and Mikaël Desecures—both PhDs and research engineers with backgrounds in basic research, whose careers have focused on developing innovative measurement instruments and analyzing data—with the goal of bringing state-of-the-art technologies to the very concrete and pragmatic field of industry.
Their advanced technology and expertise in the industrial sector enable them to meet the production, quality, and process control needs of all industrial sectors.
Their innovation lies in a two-part software suite, AX AI and AX Vision, designed for quality control and industrial process monitoring. These two software programs serve as two engines of intelligence
The first, AX IA, enables the creation and training of artificial intelligence systems based on state-of-the-art neural networks to detect, locate, and identify events or defects on any medium or material, or to search for anomalies based on image or video data.
And since not every event or anomaly is necessarily a problem or a defect,
the second software program, AX Vision, allows users to flag and classify a detected anomaly as a confirmed defect. For example, it can specify that a scratch is a problem if its size exceeds a certain threshold and/or if it is located within a specific area of the inspected part. AX Vision allows users to edit all of these rules, as well as control connected cameras, communicate with the entire industrial environment—including PLCs, HMIs, and robots—particularly when using 3D cameras.
As a result, their offering is the only solution on the market capable of combining state-of-the-art algorithmic technologies—parametric, supervised AI, and unsupervised AI—into a single, user-friendly, and easy-to-use tool.
Reality is uncompromising. Regardless of the computational power allocated, a vision project can only stand up to scrutiny and effectively meet customer expectations if it is accompanied by a highly pragmatic and comprehensive approach, a detailed analysis of the specifications, and if the proposed solution is perfectly tailored and scaled to those specifications—that is, to the specific characteristics of the products and the production environment of each project.
"Innovation means providing technological building blocks and robust support to enable manufacturers to make their production more reliable, more efficient, and more competitive—but also more sustainable—without being tempted to offer technologies that are merely convenient. AI is not an end in itself, but one tool among many, which realizes its true value when it is—pardon the pun—deployed ‘intelligently’."
